【摘要】:Thisguidedescribesproceduresthatcanbeusedtopreparenewzinc-coatedsurfacesforpaintingandimprovethebondofpainttothezincsurface.1.1Thisguidecoverssurfacecleaningandvariousmethodsoftreatingnewzinc-coatedbythecontinuousprocess(galvanized)surfacesproducedbyeitherthehot-dipmethodorbyelectroplating.Thisguidecoverssurfacesthathavenotbeentreatedpreviouslyatthemilltoprovidetemporaryprotectionagainststainingbymoistureotherthanbyeasilyremovedprotectiveoils(seeAppendixX1).Forpreparingsurfacesofneworweathereditemsofzinc-coatedsteelproducedbybatchprocessing,refertoPracticeD6386.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
