【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetheshrinkageofyarnsinskeinformwhentreatedinboilingwater,dryheat,saturatedsteam,orsolvents.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoyarnsmadefromanyfiberorcombinationoffiberswherethetexoftheyarnisknownorcanbedetermined.Thistestmethodisnotrecommendedforelastomericyarnsandthoseyarnsthatstretchmorethan5%underthetensionloadingsprescribed,althoughithasbeenusedforthelatter.Note1ProceduresfordeterminingyarnshrinkageandbulkpropertiesoftexturedyarnsarecoveredinTestMethodD4031.1.2ThistestmethodshowsthevaluesinbothSIandinch-poundunits."SI"unitsisthetechnicallycorrectnameforthesystemofmetricunitsknownastheInternationalSystemofUnits."Inch-pound"unitsisthetechnicallycorrectnameforthecustomaryunitsusedintheUnitedStates.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesexpressedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;thereforeeachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheotherwithoutcombininginanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
