【摘要】:Sulfatesandchloridescanbefoundinfilterpluggingdepositsandfuelinjectordeposits.Theacceptabilityforuseofthefuelcomponentsandthefinishedfuelsdependsonthesulfateandchloridecontent.Totalandpotentialsulfateandtotalchloridecontent,asmeasuredbythistestmethod,canbeusedasonemeasureoftheacceptabilityofgasolinecomponentsforautomotivespark-ignitionenginefueluse.1.1Thistestmethodcoversadirectinjectionionchromatographicprocedurefordeterminingthetotalandpotentialinorganicsulfateandtotalinorganicchloridecontentinhydrousandanhydrousdenaturedethanoltobeusedinmotorfuelapplications.Itisintendedfortheanalysisofethanolsamplescontainingbetween1.0x2013;20mg/kgoftotalorpotentialinorganicsulfateand1.0x2013;50mg/kgofinorganicchloride.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.MaterialSafetyDataSheetsareavailableforreagentsandmaterials.Reviewthemforhazardspriortousage.
